GOOD AND BAD TIMES.

Good and bad times come to all people during their life. But there is a way to make them more good than bad. Here are some Proverbs and other verses that tell you about this and show you how.

Firstly, where does God fit into all this?

" The Lord sees what happens everywhere, he is watching us, whether we do good or evil." Prov 15:4. Also, that " God

examines the good and the wicked alike; the lawless He hates with all His heart." Ps 11:5.

God also warns that we need His help, by telling us we live in a spiritual world.

" ...we are fighting against the wicked spiritual forces, against the satanic powers of this dark age." Eph 6: 12.

Where does family and parents fit into all this?

" Listen to your father; without him you would not exist " is

what Proverbs 23:22 says. Also that " it is better to correct someone openly than to let him think you don't care for him at all." Prov 27:5. I CARE ABOUT YOU !!!

Also, " ..be safe and follow the teachings of older people." Pr 28-26. If you do not, then "..sometimes it takes a painful experience to make us change our ways." Pr 20:30.

God tells us that he looks after the good better than He looks after the bad. Look at all these examples. If you find that one bad thing happens after another, then this may mean something to you. It is a gem of wisdom for you.

" Trouble follows sinners everywhere, but righteous people will be rewarded with good things." Pr 13:21. and

" Bad people will get what they deserve. God people will be rewarded for their deeds." Pr 14:14. and

" Righteous men keep their wealth, but wicked men lose theirs when hard times come." Pr 15:6. and especially:

" Nothing bad happens to righteous people, but the

wicked have nothing but trouble." Pr 12:21. and

" It is the Lord's blessing that makes you wealthy. Hard work can make you no richer." Pr 10:22. and

" the righteous will get what they want, but the wicked will get what they fear most." Pr 10:24. and

" Righteous people will always have security, but the wicked will not survive..." Pr 10:30. - and just for good measure:

" The righteous are guided and protected by the Lord, but the evil are on the way to their doom." Ps 1:6.

Do you get the idea that God does have a say in all that happens to you? To make sure you have got the idea, consider these words.

"....God will bring the wicked down to ruin.." Pr 21:12.

" the road of the wicked is dark as night...They fall but cannot see what they have stumbled over." Pr 4:19.

" there is no safety for sinners," says the Lord. Is 48:22.

It's far better to heed to this advice and have a more secure life for you and your loved ones.

" Obey the Lord, be humble, and you will get riches, honour and a long life." Pr 22:4. and

" The Lord is like a strong tower where the righteous can go and be safe." Pr 18:10. and

" Obey the Lord and you will live a long life, contented and safe from harm." Pr 19:23.

The rewards are great!!!! These words apply to heaven and earth!

" The Lord is righteous and loves good deeds; those who do them will live in His presence." Ps 11:7.

Just as important as finally living with God is this statement - that if you know and honour God, He will protect and provide for you. If you do not know and honour God in your lives, you are open to all the worst that Satan can do to you. The verses above show this very clearly.

Just one more thing. If you regard yourself as good or righteous, then you should know that God regards any unforgiven sin as a barrier between Him and you and in scriptural terms you are referred to as wicked or bad. Remember that you are just like me and every other ( sinner ) person in the world - you need a saviour who can cleanse you by forgiving your sin.

" For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

IF YOU WANT THINGS TO STOP GOING WRONG AND START GOING RIGHT, THEN THESE WORDS SHOULD MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU

AND FOR ALL THE BEST THAT GOD HAS TO OFFER, BOTH HERE AND IN HEAVEN YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT FOR YOURSELF!
